By downloading, installing, or using DraftRedactor, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this software.

1. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all redaction markings before exporting or sharing any documents. It is your obligation to ensure that all sensitive, confidential, or privileged information has been correctly identified and redacted.

2. AI & Software Limitations

This tool uses large language models (LLMs), pattern matching, and automated analysis to suggest redaction areas. AI-generated suggestions should not be treated as professional, legal, or regulatory judgment. These technologies are inherently imperfect and may produce errors, including but not limited to: missed sensitive content, incorrect region identification, false positives, incomplete coverage, and misclassification of data categories.

3. No Warranty — Limitation of Liability

This software is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the developer, publisher, or any affiliated parties be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to damages for data breaches, loss of data, loss of profits, regulatory fines, legal sanctions, or reputational harm — arising from the use of or inability to use this software or its exported documents.

4. Exported PDF Verification

The exported PDF may contain errors including but not limited to: incomplete redaction coverage, corrupted content, formatting issues, residual metadata, embedded comments, revision history, hidden layers, or recoverable OCR text beneath redaction marks. You are responsible for reviewing and sanitizing the final exported document to verify that all sensitive information — including metadata and hidden content — has been properly and permanently removed before distribution or filing.

5. No Compliance Guarantee

This tool does not guarantee compliance with any law, regulation, or standard, including but not limited to GDPR, HIPAA, FOIA, CCPA, SOX, or any other data protection, privacy, or disclosure framework. Compliance with applicable legal requirements is solely your responsibility. You should consult with qualified legal counsel to ensure your redaction workflow meets all regulatory obligations.

6. Not Legal or Professional Advice

This software is a technical utility and does not provide legal, regulatory, or professional advice of any kind. The redaction suggestions, categories, and confidence scores generated by this tool should not be relied upon as a substitute for independent professional judgment. For questions regarding document production, privacy compliance, or specific liability concerns, consult with qualified legal counsel.

7. Your Acknowledgment

By using DraftRedactor, you confirm that: (1) you have read and understood these terms; (2) you will independently verify and sanitize every exported PDF, including its metadata; (3) you accept full and sole responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency of all redacted output; (4) you understand this tool does not guarantee regulatory compliance; and (5) you irrevocably release the software, its developers, publishers, and all affiliated parties from any and all claims, damages, and liability.
